On May 11, 2016, a joint meeting of the Kazakh Public Association of Arrhythmologists with the President of the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) Gerhard Hindrix was held at the National Scientific Cardiac Surgery Center JSC.
The meeting was attended by the Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, EA Birtanov, President of the EHRA Gerhard Hindriks, Chairman of the Board of NSCC JSC Pya Yu.V., Head of the Department of Interventional Arrhythmology, President of the Kazakh Society of Arrhythmologists A. Abdrakhmanov, Head of the Department of Arrhythmology NIIIKVB (Almaty) Requva R.R. During the meeting, issues of effective prevention of sudden cardiac mortality, increasing the level of arrhythmological services in the regions and supporting the professional community were discussed. An agreement was reached on the entry of the Kazakh Society of Arrhythmologists into the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA).
The guests also had a tour around the center, during which they got acquainted with the activities of the center, examined the departments of interventional arrhythmology, cardiac surgery and a simulation center. Guests were able to see first-hand operating units and departments equipped with modern medical equipment. Professor Hindrix was shown the possibility of conducting practical exercises for doctors to develop skills in interventional cardiology and arrhythmology on the VIST® Lab simulator, providing realistic clinical situations. Gerhard Hindricks was delighted with the equipment and control system of the center, using the advanced technologies of European and American manufacturers, such as Biotronik's Home Monitoring system. During the meeting, a conference was held at which Gerhard Hindricks shared information on the latest technological advances in the field of arrhythmology. At the end of the meeting, the conditions for the entry of the Kazakh Society of Arrhythmologists into EHRA were discussed.
